Bangkok 2017 – 4 days and 3 nights (with Itinerary + Expenses)

Bangkok, Thailand’s capital is the closest city of Manila. From their un-avoided traffic, crowded streets and shopping markets. It is one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities with magnificent temples and palaces. Basically, we stayed here for our honeymoon but it ends up with so much travel and shopping moments haha! Will share with you wanderers our itinerary and expenses for 4 days and 3 nights.

Where to exchange money

Upon arrival at the airport, a lot of money changer around there but the one who gives a good rate is SuperRich Thailand. It is located at the basement of the airport.

When to visit Bangkok

The weather in Bangkok is almost same with Manila. Rainy Season is from May to October while cool season is November to February. Hot season is March and April, but April is peak season since it is Songkran Festival (Thai New Year). We visited last June 2017 and during that time it was really freaking hot haha!

Getting Around in Bangkok

Airport Rail Link

From the Suvarnabhumi airport located at the basement you can find the rail link. If you want to have a fast travel and avoid the infamous traffic jams, this is the best way to choose. It has a 7 stations, Lat Krabang, Ban Thap Chang, Hua Mak, Ramkhamkaeng, Makkasan, Ratchaprarop and Phaya Thai.

MRT/BTS Skytrain

If you want to explore more, try their MRT/BTS Skytrain. MRT consist of two lines, the Blue line and Purple line with total of 35 stations. BST Skytrain consists of two lines as well, Sukhumvit and Silom with 30 stations.

Taxi/Uber/Grab

As I remember, Taxi are located at the ground floor (or first floor) of the airport. I find it convenient because during our stay in Bangkok we used it as our transportation most of the time.

Day 1 (Pratunam Market, Platinum Mall, Chocolate Ville and Hua Mum Market)

We arrived at the airport around 9am, which is a bit delayed on the arrival time. First thing I did is to take photo bwahaha! We went directly to SupeRich Money Changer and after that we bought a 4g Sim card to stay connected on our holiday. It is 299THB (458PHP) unlimited data for 7 days with 100THB call credit.

11:00AM – Arrived at the Condo that I booked in Airbnb, located at Bang Kapi, Bangkok.

12:00PM – Pratunam Market, yes after check in at the condo we go directly to Pratunam for shopping haha! After buying some cheap finds, we went to Platinum Mall which is just near at the Pratunam martket. You will see a sign “This way to Platinum Mall”, just follow it and it will leads you again to one of the shopping haven haha!

Pratunam Market

1:30PM – Platinum Mall, it was really hot and tiring so we got to eat first before we start to shopping again haha! And because of my excitement I wasn’t able to take some photos of the mall haha!

Chocolate Ville Bangkok

8:00PM – Hua Mum Market, our Thai friend brought us here which is just 15mins away (by car) from Chocolate Ville, sadly I wasn’t able to capture some photos here because we are super duper tired haha! I find some good finds here, I bought an 80THB (122PHP) white shoes yay! (Which is second hand but still really nice) and a 6 pieces pair of cute socks for only 100THB (153PHP) waaahh! The design is super cute and the quality is nice as well! Plus, I like the food in there especially the chicken skin and durian haha! BTW, it is my first time to eat Durian haha!

Day 2 (Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Siam Paragon and Asiatique)

10:30AM – Grand Palace, I’m in awed when I saw the Palace it is like made of Gold Palace.

12:00PM – Wat Pho, it is 10mins walk from Grand Palace going here. Again I was amazed because the Reclining Buddha was really huge.

Wat Pho (picture-picture hehe)

1:00PM – Wat Arun, as Temple of Dawn. Sadly it was under renovation when we went there. I wasn’t able to challenge myself to climb upstairs haha!

Wat Arun (stolen shot kunwari haha!)

1:30PM – Siam Paragon, it was a late lunch haha! And we check some stuff in the gourmet market.

5:00PM – Asiatique the Riverfront, a large open-air mall in Bangkok. Got to try their super huge Ferris wheel yey! (will make a separate post)

9:30PM – Thip Samai Pad Thai, our Thai friend brought us here and treat for a dinner yay! Pad Thai is one of my favourite thai food!
